SODA BEAT #7

Monday 21 December @ Hoodoo's, Matthews Yard

Saydance (aka Franziska Lantz and Global Warming)
Saydance/Global Warming aka Franziska Lantz has been beating the drum since 2006, spreading, broadcasting and dispersing primitive, tribal, London techno beats and bare rhythms mixed with deep forest chants. Saydance will stage a moody and ritualistic set for Club Soda, involving found instruments such as rattling bones, metal canisters and plastic tubs combined with a drum machine, synthesiser and a few effects units. Saydance is known to perform in disguise, acting as a protagonist in an audiovisual scenario that radiates some sort of post-apocalyptic atmosphere. www.globalwarmingrecords.net

We Rise From The Fallen
We Rise From The Fallen mix rock, metal and punk influences to create their own unique sound. Blending a solid rhythm section and catchy lead riffs, with punky vocals and good old fashioned rock 'n' roll. Formed in 2014, the band marked their arrival on the Croydon music scene with a series of performances for Club Soda, including a special one-off show as part of Ambition Festival. Proving a hit with the Soda Beat crowd, the band have gone from strength to strength and are working on new material for their forthcoming debut EP available soon. www.facebook.com/werisefromthefallen

The Carbonators
The Carbonators began as an echo-rock band that formed in 2011, initially to perform alongside the legendary Damo Suzuki (ex-CAN). Since then they have honed their own unique blend of Digital Blues, Punk/New Wave and Soul music. The band play rock, punk, blues, soul and jazz all mixed up into good phonics. The Carbonators are a well-established and influential group on the UK’s learning disability music scene. www.thecarbonators.co.uk

SODA BEAT #6

11th May 2015
SODA BEAT #6
Soda Beat is London’s first regular integrated live music event for musicians with learning disabilities from the UK’s rapidly growing learning-disabled music scene.
Soda Beat is produced by Club Soda, who run some of London’s most popular learning disability arts events, including club nights, theatre performances and art exhibitions.

Featuring:
Catherine O'Rourke
The super talented Catherine O'Rourke from Brighton performs heartfelt rock, pop and homespun ballads. Catherine is back by popular demand for her second Soda Beat gig, bringing with her some serious 80's vibes. Catherine performs regularly on the Brighton scene where she has a dedicated following of fans. We like to think Croydon must be her second home by now!

White Heath
Veering from the raucous to chaotic, to intimate and personal, combining engaging arrangements and inventive instrumentation with a strong, melodic sensibility.
